CWC classes are for licensed stylists at every experience level who want to understand hair color more deeply, not just memorize what to use.
Some stylists are newer and need help building the basics. Others have been creating beautiful color for years, but still run into situations they can’t fully explain or predict.
Experience and understanding aren’t always the same thing. You may know a lot already and still have pieces that are missing, or pieces no one ever helped you connect.
If you’re tired of having to borrow someone else’s formulating thinking and you just want to learn how to hit your color targets more consistently, these classes are for you.
You don’t automatically have to start at the beginning.
Our classes are built in learning phases, but the right starting place depends on what you already understand, not simply how many years you’ve been behind the chair.

Hair color education is often taught through individual formulas, brand rules, charts and isolated topics. You can learn a lot that way and still be left trying to figure out how all those pieces work together when the starting canvas or target changes.
CWC teaches you how color, chemistry, the hair fiber, your starting canvas, your target and the colors inside your tubes all interact when you formulate.
You’ll also learn visual systems, including our CWC Directional Color Mapping System™, that help you choose your tones, predict where your formula is likely to land and adjust it before applying it to the hair.
We don’t teach what to use. We teach how to decide.

Yes. CWC is independent, non-branded hair color education.
We teach you how color and chemistry work, then help you apply that understanding to the color line you already use. You won’t need to change brands to use what you learn.
Our classes cover color theory, color mixing, hair structure and pH, hair color chemistry, tonal deposits, lift and deposit, deciphering your color line and the formulation process.
Some classes build the basics. Others go much deeper into how these pieces interact when you formulate. Each class page shows exactly what’s included.
We offer both.
Some classes are completely on demand. Our in-depth education combines an on-demand class day with a live virtual class day. The format is listed on each class page before you enroll.
Some classes have prerequisites and others don’t.
Foundations of Color Theory and Chemistry of Color must both be completed before Formulating With Purpose. If a class has a prerequisite, you’ll see it clearly listed on the class page.
Supplies vary by class. We provide the workbook, but you’ll need to print it before class. You’ll find the complete supply list inside your course after enrolling, so you’ll have time to gather everything you need.
Individual classes range from about one to five hours. Our in-depth classes include approximately nine hours of education divided between an on-demand class day and a live virtual class day.
But taking a class and building a skill aren’t the same thing.
The class helps you understand the concepts. The guided after-class activities help you begin working with them. You don’t have to learn everything at once. Your understanding builds one piece at a time.
Access varies by class and ranges from 30 to 270 days. You’ll see the exact access period on the class page before enrolling.
We use limited access intentionally. It gives you a clear window to begin instead of saving the class for “someday,” and it helps us keep the education more affordable.
Live class replays have shorter access because the replay is there for you to revisit parts of the class afterward. Your workbook and guided after-class activities give you the learning and practice you need to keep moving forward, instead of getting stuck trying to memorize an entire class.
That depends on the class.
Our live classes include opportunities to ask questions during class. Some courses also include guided after-class activities with opportunities for feedback and course correction.
Our in-depth classes come with continued practice, questions and support inside the CWC Community. The deeper the learning, the more support you need as you begin putting it all together.

CWC builds your understanding in phases. We use visuals, demonstrations and guided after-class activities to help you see the relationships between color, chemistry, the hair fiber and your formulation decisions.
Work through the education and guided after-class activities to build the skill. You’ll need to be an active participant in your learning. If you are, you WILL learn it.
No. Each enrollment is for one stylist, and class access cannot be shared. If you’d like to enroll several stylists, we offer group education options.
Yes. Groups of three or more may qualify for discounted enrollment. Groups of ten or more may be able to schedule a private in-depth class.
