Our first Spotlight of the Month goes to Sica Dumitru!!
Sica joined CWC back in February of 2025 with 20 years behind the chair and a deep desire to keep growing her skill set.
From her very first class, Sica dove right in. She’s determined, she’s talented,
and she’s resilient.
She took on every color challenge in our program all along the way. She didn’t shy away from putting in the effort.
The images in this Spotlight give you just a small glimpse at the amount of work Sica has put in inside CWC.
Mapping tones on the wheel. Learning to decipher her line. Refining her eye. Walking the hair to the target color she wants. Correcting color, lifting, shifting tone with purpose, filling, warming, cooling, making tone shifts all throughout the wheel.
A little over a year later, she’s moving through her color changes with so much more control, clarity, and confidence. She’s learned how to stay in control of her color decisions and results.
Things that used to feel like a challenge aren't anymore.

At labeling the wheel, teaching neutralization, and then handing out formulas on what to use. But all of those things are not the same as knowing how to navigate color through the wheel. And knowing how to cancel isn’t the same as knowing how to build and create from what's there.

The Learning Phases

Phase 1- The Beginner-Friendly Classes. Get familiar with color, the wheel, the basics of color mixing, and how they all connect to the 5 basic ways we tone shift through the wheel while we formulate hair color.
Phase 2- Color Mixing Training. This is for you, if you're ready to not JUST hear or read about color theory, but do it AND see it. You learn how to break down tones AND build them. You'll get to see color in motion through the wheel while you work through each activity. This will help you start to understand how to build and create your tones, not just choose them.
And Phase 3- The Foundations of Color Theory. Learn the 3 dimensions of color in-depth, how to decipher the colors in YOUR line, AND how to use the wheel like a map to navigate towards your color target with more accuracy & purpose. Combing those two will absolutely help you become more consistently predictable in your outcomes.
You don’t have to jump in at the very beginning. You can jump into the phase that fits you best.
