Part 1 · Color theory
Learn to create tonal deposits with the color line you love. Use color mixing theory, the 3Ds, background and Directional Color Mapping™ to predict your results and hit your targets more consistently.
Part 2 · Chemistry
Learn how to control and predict lift on any starting level by understanding the fiber you work with, your color categories (color removers included), how lift works, and color levels versus developer volume. You'll build the understanding to confidently make your chemistry choices when you formulate.
We suggest Foundations first, but you're welcome to begin with Chemistry.
Part 3 · Formulation
Work through the formulation process from the hair you have to the result you want. Use color theory and chemistry together to map your plan, predict what will happen and work through corrections.
Complete Foundations and Chemistry before taking this class.

You'll draw on what you've learned in those earlier classes as you work through the deeper learning in this series.
You don't need to have every basic mastered before you join us. A good working understanding of your color wheel, the basics of the 3 dimensions of color and how to mix color to shift tone will help you follow along without feeling overwhelmed.
If you're still learning those basics, you're absolutely welcome to join. Just know you may need to work a little harder as you go, since you'll be building that understanding while working through the deeper learning.
We suggest starting with Foundations, then moving into Chemistry before taking Formulating, but you're welcome to start with Chemistry if you'd prefer.
For Formulating With Purpose, you'll need to have completed both Foundations and Chemistry so you can bring what you've learned in those classes into the full formulation process.
