This course is for you if…
You want to understand your color line and how it mixes with the remaining color in the hair.
You want to learn how to get consistent, predictable color results using any color brand.
You’re ready to work through the lessons, join in and make time to practice.
You don’t have to have it all figured out before you come, but a working knowledge of levels, remaining color and the color wheel will help the course go more smoothly for you.
A lot of color education gives you formulas or tells you what to use. But what happens when the hair in front of you is different?
Foundations teaches how color actually mixes and how to decipher what’s in your tubes. You’ll learn how that color mixes with the remaining color in the hair, and how to formulate your deposit to hit your target colors.
The goal
Learn how to get consistent, predictable color results using any color brand.
Formulas can be borrowed. Understanding has to be built. We build that here.

Part 3 · Guided activities + community support
Build your skills with guided activities and community support.

Support beyond the live session
Because learning isn’t a one day event.
You’ll have guided activities, your workbooks and the CWC community to help you keep working with what you’ve learned.

Thank you so much for the amazing class!! I wish I would have been taught this years ago. Makes so much sense!! Definitely the missing piece I've been searching for. I've heard a lot of this before but the way you explain it makes sense in my brain. I'm an educator for a color company and I could never quite find the words to explain the why when teaching color conversions. Doing the swatches and seeing everyone else's was so eye opening. Makes so much sense why stylists struggle when switching brands! Excited to join the CWC community and will definitely be taking the next class.

I've been swatching my colors like a maniac. Tonight I cut 10 inches off my client's hair. While her highlights were processing, I swatched her hair that I had cut off so when it was time to color/tone I was totally prepared and I can honestly say I performed my best color in my 17 years as a hairdresser. Thanks for helping me build a stronger foundation. It's totally paying off!
“Everything about this class was sooooo good.”

Thank you so much for this class. I feel like I have added tools to my color tool belt. Thank you so much! I can truly say I walked away from this with more color knowledge and understanding of color theory. I know now what I'm really working with and how to use the tools I have and just understanding how what is in the tube works with the hair's pigment. There's a lot of bricks to color theory, but understanding better how the bricks come together to get a beautiful final result fills in the gaps. Everything about this class was sooooo good. The information was presented well, with being able to ask questions during the class. The base color in the tube is soooo helpful for formulating and the idea of swatching to have a visual of what's in the tube is so useful. Thank you again for this class.
