Two Class Days. One Main Goal: Color Control

Here's what each day covers.

Day 1, Building Your Color Map

Day 1, Building Your Color Map

On demand, instant access, about 3.5 hours
  • What color really is, how you see it, and what you are actually mixing when you formulate
  • How to decipher your color line
  • How to fully chart your tones in 3D
  • Where natural hair lives in 3D
  • How to identify the background ratio in each tube
  • Finish Day 1 by beginning your Color Map with the line you use
Day 2, Using Your Color Map

Day 2, Using Your Color Map

Live on Zoom, July 13th, 1 to 5pm EST, about 4 hours
  • Science based color mixing theory, step by step
  • Mix color with background for more consistent results
  • Work in ratios, levels, and parts on your wheel before ever touching the hair
  • Learn the CWC Directional Color Mapping System to create and predict more consistent results
  • Troubleshoot real formulations and learn how to make stronger tonal choices

This class gives you the language, the system, and the visual tools to stop second guessing and start formulating with purpose, no matter where you're starting from or what brand you use.

Built For How People Learn

Learning doesn't stop at hearing the information. It needs a path, a place to practice, and a way to come back to the learning so it starts to stick.

Learning happens in stages. How to work through the course so it sticks.
Who Foundations is for

Is Foundations The Right Class For You?

Foundations is for stylists who already have a starting foundation with natural levels, remaining pigment, tone families, basic wheel relationships, and the 5 basic ways color can move through the wheel.

If you're ready to learn how to apply that knowledge when choosing your tones, navigating the wheel, deciphering your color line, and working toward hitting your color targets more predictably, then Foundations is for you.

You do not need to feel advanced to be here. You do need to be ready to slow down, learn the process, and practice seeing color in a more predictable way.

Why This Class Is Built Different

A lot of color education hands you formulas, or tells you what to use. The problem is, the moment you're in front of a head of hair that has different variables than the last time, you find yourself guessing again.

Foundations teaches the principles, the directions on how color works: what color is, what's in your tubes, and how it behaves when it meets the remaining pigment already in the hair. When you understand that, you can formulate with any line, on any starting canvas, in any situation, because you're working from understanding instead of memory or pattern recognition.

What Stylists Are Saying...

This is the most comprehensive and thoughtfully designed color program I've ever taken, with an incredible level of support even after completion.

If you commit to the process and do the work, you'll gain the confidence to create virtually any result on the color wheel for your guests.

After more than 30 years behind the chair, I can confidently say this is the most complete color education I've experienced.
